I love this place so much! Such a great find and recommendation! I come here all the time whenever I get my car MOT’d or serviced by Peter Thirtle at his Forge Works garage just down the road. The food, service and atmosphere is amazing! Many thanks 👍🙏😎🥓🍳☕️
Nice farm shop/cafe opposite Weston Manor hotel. Part of a farm complex. I popped in on a Saturday morning for brunch. Quite busy - 15-20mins from ordering to food arriving.
But what a meal!!!
I love scrambled eggs and I love curry. But never thought of having the two together. What a hit. Delicious.
Friendly staff. £16 for an outstanding brunch.
Just be aware if u want to have lunch on a Sunday around 12ish it is very busy and to be seated you could wait up to 20 mins and it could have been nice to be warned it was a delay on the food while we were on the queue... So if you are in a hurry not the best choice. Food was good, but think was a bit pricey... Nice atmosphere though.
We had an absolutely gorgeous breakfast at the Milk Shed. First time coming here and it won’t be our last. What a fabulous place, so niche and quirky and gorgeous food. The portions were very good and the food cooked beautifully. I can’t say enough, just that I’m so looking forward to my next visit. Oh, the sourdough bread is to die for…
Delicious healthy (and naughty) food options, home made, and cozy laid back atmosphere. Hidden gem near Bicester, a welcome contrast to the overpriced touristy Village. The service was a bit slow, but worth the wait after all. Will certainly be back.
PS: I was surprised to find Santiago de Compostela Almond Tart in the shop! Anyone who has walked the Camino knows what I’m talking about!!
Cheese Tart Becoming Miniscule - Should be recatergorised as 'Salad with a Slither of Tart'.
The slices portioned may have remained the same over the years, however, the diameter of the tart has decreased (smaller tart tin), meaning the segment is much smaller. Effectively I'm paying close to £20 for a plate of salald, and I'm still leaving hungry even if I consider myself a healthy eater who follows intermittent fasting.
Well, what can I say. I've been going to TMS for years, since it's early incarnation. Of late, what I've noticed is that the portion of the cheese tarts are getting frustratingly smaller. The tarts themselves, delicious and varied daily. They now list it as a special, though it's been on the menu for a decade.
Served with a selection of salads. The chickpea salad was the worst of the lot. Firm and felt like it was straight out of the jar and tossed with dressing, it had no depth. Salads here used to be why we kept going back to The Milk Shed.
It's become more and more unfortunate that we make the trip out here, no easy feat, order the cheese tart which is creeping closer to £20 a plate and leave still feeling hungry. Not cheap, nor fulfilling.
Kids had children's pasta. One of the most uninspiring meals there to date. Upon tasting, my interpretation was pulverised tomatoes, salt and some ready grated cheese thrown over. Bland. Served over overcooked, swollen penne. The kids picked a bit to appease me enough to get their ice cream fix.
Don't get me started on their ice cream. Doesn't compare to Amorino or 3BIS Gelateria.
Love this place, great for a delicious icecream on a warm day. The hot food is great as well. I had scrambled egg and salmon on sourdough and it was lovely. Its also great with bacon and they do kids portions.
Service was excellent, very welcoming and friendly. Many customers from the local community stopped to talk to us and ask my daughter questions about a badge she was wearing. All in all a lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious. 15 flavours of ice cream to choose from for our milkshakes! Toast a little on the pricey side for my liking, would be nice to see some cheaper menu options for children.
